Celebrate Fungi Day at Sherwood Forest with the Nottinghamshire Fungi Group.
UK Fungi Day takes place on 10th October 2026 – Sherwood Forest are celebrating a little earlier with a visit from the
Nottinghamshire Fungi Group on Saturday 3rd October!
Notts Fungi Group will be at Sherwood 10am-4pm, ready to share their expertise and with a variety of specimens for you to see up close.
They will also be leading free guided walks in the forest to showcase all the beautiful fungi that fruit in Sherwood.
Spaces on these walks are available on a first-come first-served basis – you can sign up on the day at the Nottinghamshire Fungi Group gazebo at the Visitor Centre
Guided walks will take place at the following times:
- 10am
- 10:30am
- 1:00pm
These walks will last approximately 1 1/2 hours – 2 hours.
These walks are incredibly popular and book up quickly. Signing up early in the day is recommended.
