There's lots to entertain at Twinlakes Family Theme Park, with their rides, exhibitions, petting farm and other attractions. If the weather is fair, don't forget to pack your swimming gear for a splashtastic time in the giant outdoor waterpark, but with so much to explore you'll never be short of things to do, come rain or shine. Every season Twinlakes has something different; from their Eggstreme Easter fun in Spring to the Family Scream Park Halloween spooktacular takeover in Autumn.
Animal lovers will adore the Tropical Butterfly House, Wildlife and Falconry Centre, who, along with housing their menagerie of meerkats, birds, bats and butterflies, have a brilliant outdoor adventure playground and indoor Activity & Craft Centre. Nearer to the city you can meet a host of cute critters and discover a slice of rural life in the heart of Nottingham at Stonebridge City Farm, all free of charge.
If your kids like to get active - or you just want to ensure they fall asleep that night - get down to the National Water Sports Centre, at Holme Pierrepont Country Park for climbing, kayaking, raft building and many more great outdoor activities.
