This event is part of the Robin Hood Festival

Dungeons and Dragons taster sessions with Dice and Balls are back for Fantasy in the Greenwood weekend. These 30-minute sessions are an accessible, family-friendly way to try out this popular tabletop role-playing game.

This year, the brave adventurers will delve beneath the Major Oak and try to rescue Robin's bow from the Spirit of the Green Wood.

What is Dungeons and Dragons?

D&D is the world's most popular tabletop role-playing game.

Players enter a fantasy world, create and control fantastical characters, face monsters and other enemies, solve puzzles and work together in a storytelling adventure, which thrives on creativity and imagination.

It has been played and loved by devoted fans across the world for more than four decades.

Important Details

1 session per hour. Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes. 6 players per session.

Sessions can be booked online in advance (recommended) or booked on the day at the Robin Hub. You must book a slot ahead of your desired session.

Sessions are suitable for players aged 10 and over.

All children must be supervised by an adult for the duration of the session. Accompanying adults do not need to take part, but must book a ticket if they wish to do so.

Ticket price does not include entry to the Festival.
