Heritage Open Days: St Mary's Church

About

Saturday 14 September | 10am - 3pm
St Mary's Church Nottingham City Centre
Free - Part of Heritage Open Days 2019

Visit St Mary’s and discover the church's rich heritage, encounter beautiful architecture, and take in unique, 360-degre views of Nottingham from the tower (number/weather permitting). Discover the history of Nottingham through a building that’s seen it all.

Being in the city for nearly a thousand years, St Mary's Church really has seen it all. Inside there is a wealth of opportunity for you to learn about the city through artefacts and memorials, whilst the churchyard is the resting place for many local notaries including George Africanus.

Children's activities and trail will be part of this fun filled day. If heights don’t trouble you then come and take in unparalleled, 360-degree views of the city as part of the Tower Tours (limited numbers and weather permitting). There might also be a dip into our legendary links to Robin Hood!

Come and take in the calm and wonder of this jewel in the heart of our city.
