Join Southwell Minster as they throw an indoor street party celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III. They will be livestreaming the Coronation on their giant cinema screen from 11am, and the celebrations will start immediately following the broadcast (about 12.30pm).
The Lowes Wong Infants Maypole and Country Dance Team will be involved in the celebrations, and accompanied by musicians from the Minster School Ceilidh Band, they will perform a lively and colourful mix of traditional maypole and country dances.
There will also be live music from Carlton Brass, so come along, bring your picnics, and enjoy what will be a momentous occasion for the nation.
Professional harp teacher Cat Alexander will be providing free 'have a go' harp sessions for children.
If you came to the Queen's Jubilee Party last year, you'll know how much fun it was, so feel free to wear Union Jack outfits, or anything red, white and blue and get in the party spirit.
Light refreshments will be available and the Southwell Lions will be running a few games/stalls.
