In 2019, the London-based Marmen Quartet won First Prizes at the prestigious Bordeaux and Banff International String Quartet Competitions, firmly establishing a reputation for the vitality and intensity of their performances. Takemitsu's 'A Way A Lone' takes its title from the final, fragmentary lines of James Joyce's Finnegan's Wake and similarly his introspective musical ideas meander without seemingly any direction.
1 hour 30 minutes including interval
Mozart String Quartet in E flat major, K428
Takemitsu A Way A Lone
