Three years ago, the Notos Quartet performed their Lakeside Arts debut, garnering a 5* review and thrilling the audience with their virtuosic brilliance and shared musical understanding. For this concert, they perform Schoenberg's late-Romantic tone poem Transfigured Night arranged for piano quartet by Christoph Schickedanz. Richard Strauss was only 20 years of age when he composed the piano quartet, inspired by the chamber works of Johannes Brahms.
Mozart - Piano Quartet No.1 in G minor, K478
Schoenberg - Transfigured Night, Op.4 (arrangement for piano quartet by C. Schickedanz)
Strauss - Piano Quartet in C minor, Op.13
