Old Walls, New Challenges: Climate Change and Historic Buildings

About

Wednesday 26 November 2025 | 7pm - 8pm
Hope Community Methodist Church | Newark
£10

Charlie Slade has worked to conserve the fabric of historic buildings in the UK for the last 30 years, and will give an introduction to the effect of the UK weather and climate on buildings, and whether this has changed in more recent years, what steps are being taken to remedy this, and what can be done in the future to safeguard our historic buildings.

Using photographs of work carried out across the Midlands on timber framed, stone and brick properties to illustrate his talk, and with
examples of where to look for guidance from national organisations such as Historic England for further information.
