The Markham Suite at Rufford Mill
Price: £12.00 per person
Experience the thrill of handling and flying a majestic owl from your own glove in this fully interactive, hands-on encounter.
Hosted in partnership with Go Active Falconry, this hands-on encounter delivers a unique, engaging experience designed to genuinely captivate older children, young teens, and adults alike. The expert team at Go Active Falconry offers an authentic experience where participants step directly into the action. Set in a secure, private environment, this session provides the perfect opportunity to get out from behind the barriers and connect directly with majestic birds of prey.
During the 45-minute session, participants will discover the fascinating mechanics of how owls hunt and the science behind their completely silent flight. Participants will have the opportunity to hold an owl, fly it to and from their own hand, and experience the remarkable precision of a weightless landing right on their arm.
The relaxed pace of the session ensures there are excellent opportunities for photography throughout. Whether you are aiming for a dramatic mid-flight action shot or a striking close-up portrait of these incredible creatures, there will be plenty of time to capture extraordinary moments.
