Free event

In support of the 2024 Reclaim the Night march for women's safety, Nottingham Central Library's Local History department is proud to present an inspiring collection of photos, articles, and stories that highlight the history of women's activism in Nottingham.

In the day, drop by and explore powerful moments from our city's fight for women's equality, from thrilling victories to heart-wrenching struggles. Meet the passionate Central Library team as they share pivotal stories from Nottingham's past, offering insights into the women who fought for justice, safety, and their right to be heard.

Special Late Opening for Marchers: In the evening, the library will extend its opening hours and offer teas and coffees for those who want to meet up, connect with fellow marchers, and learn more with the Central Library team before heading out to the Reclaim the Night march together. It's the perfect way to get connected and inspired before the event!
