Nottingham Contemporary
Free
Join Nottingham Contemporary to celebrate fiction writing, artwork and graphic design by 20 Nottingham Trent University Students. Since Nov 2022 they have collaborated with Nottingham Contemporary to produce Response: Issue 6, inspired by the exhibition Hollow Earth: Art, Caves and the Subterranean Imagery.
Response 6 explores the idea of the caves of your mind and body - a metaphorical journey through caves, and the effects of journeying within, from light to dark to light. Be guided on a journey through the labyrinth that lies beneath our feet. Together, we will shine lights into darkness and uncover the unexpected.
In the relaxed setting of Blend Café, receive your complimentary copy of Response 6 and enjoy live readings from the team and guest contributors. To a cave soundscape, we invite you to leave your mark, pause for a moment of calm, make a rock painting to take away and meet the creative team. Guests will receive a complimentary drink on arrival*.
Response is an annual group placement for students at Nottingham Trent University in the schools of Art and Design, Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities and Confetti.
*Complimentary soft and alcoholic drinks will be subject to availability.
