A brilliant introduction is offered to the smallest residents of Robin Hood's Sherwood Forest.
Insects are one of the key reasons why Sherwood Forest has held the designation of Site of Special Scientific Interest for more than 70 years.
Bug safaris provide a fascinating opportunity for children aged 4–14 to discover the wide variety of invertebrates that inhabit the forest.
Guided by an experienced leader, participants use sweep nets and inspection pots to observe the species they uncover more closely.
Each child taking part in the activity must be accompanied by an adult.
