Making a rare appearance in the UK, critically acclaimed US Jazz Guitar legend Sid Jacobs. This promises to be a night of exceptional performances, weaving diverse influences from bebop to contemporary jazz.
"Contemporary guitar at its harmonic best." - Joe Diorio
"…translating the work of Bill Evans and Thelonious Monk into the language of the guitar is not easy but Jacobs did it with an easy fluency." – Don Heckman, Los Angeles Times
"…beautiful and sensitive playing…" – Tony Mattola

Acclaimed guitarist Sid Jacobs began his music journey in Miami Beach. After moving to Los Angeles he developed the curriculum for the Advanced Bepop and Jazz Guitar course at the world-famous Dick Grove School and the Musicians Institute (MI and GIT), where he continues to teach. From his early fascination with the guitar at the age of 7 to becoming the youngest faculty member at the University of Nevada, Jocobs has left an indelible mark on the jazz scene.

"…a great player and great educator… Sid's marvelous transcriptions of Bill Evans' tunes for solo guitar have just raised the guitar to a new level. This is contemporary guitar at its harmonic best." – Joe Diorio

Joining Jacobs is Tom Remon, a guitarist based in North London, whose musical roots trace back to Tomorrow's Warriors. With an impressive debut recording alongside UK jazz hero Jim Mullen, Remon's diverse experiences, including extensive UK tours and collaborations with acclaimed artists, promise a night of dynamic and eclectic jazz.

Adding to the ensemble is James Owston, a well-known figure on the UK jazz scene. Influenced by bebop and jazz traditions, Owston's bass expertise, drawing from legends like Ray Brown and Charles Mingus, contributes to the ensemble's rich tapestry. Owston's recognition as a finalist in the BBC Young Jazz Musician Award underscores his prowess.

Completing the lineup is Jim Bashford, a sought-after drummer and composer from Birmingham. A faculty member at the Birmingham Conservatoire Jazz Course, Bashford's rhythmic finesse and leadership shine through.
Promising a night of exceptional performances, weaving diverse influences from bebop to contemporary jazz.
