Tuesday 31 December 2024
Royal Concert Hall
Tickets £22.50 to £42.50
End the year on a high note with Sinfonia Viva's 27th annual New Year's Eve Gala.
To celebrate 100 years since the birth of television, the concert will be packed full of familiar music from iconic TV shows and adverts. From old favourites including Verdi's Force of Destiny Overture (the Stella Artois advert) to gorgeous soundtracks from shows including Downton Abbey, the evening promises a delightful mix of nostalgia and celebration. We'll even play the Liberty Bell March (Monty Python) to get your toes tapping.
Conductor Nicholas Kok has made these New Year festivities his own over more than two decades and joins us again to lead the celebrations, which will also include the traditional Viennese waltzes and singing of Auld Lang Syne.
The concert is timed to fit perfectly into New Year's Eve, however you choose to celebrate. The music starts at 6pm and finishes at 8.15pm, so you can enjoy time with friends and family afterwards or get home to watch the fireworks.
Extravagant, fun and steeped in tradition, join the festivities at Nottingham's favourite New Year's Eve celebration.
