Have you ever wondered when the final hanging took place Galleries of Justice Museum's site? Why did the courts close down to become the Museum? Who was the last prisoner to be executed there and why? What happened to the last prisoners when the county gaol closed?
To kick start Galleries of Justice Museum's 20th birthday celebrations, they will be presenting a brand new fun filled actor led tour through 5 floors of heritage. Discover Nottingham’s horrible history and experience life in the last remaining days of what was once Nottingham’s most notorious Old County Gaol!
You will be taken on a historical journey where you will meet many characters of the past who will bring your visit to life! Enter a word of original prison cells, caves and dungeons in this new and fascinating actor led tour.
As well as actor led tours, their free exhibitions and free kids activities will be open every day! Suitable for families and individuals of all ages.
