The Sherwood Forest Trust Woodland Festival

About

Saturday 25 - 26 July 2026 | 10am - 4pm
Thoresby Park
Free entry, parking fees apply

The Woodland Festival brings together local makers, woodland crafts, family activities, nature talks and much more. This is the perfect family-friendly festival to reconnect with nature, try new skills, and enjoy time outdoors!
New to 2026, we have Benny Shakes’ interactive, eco-themed show Slugageddon! from the Blue Badge Bunch, packed with humour, games, and gardening tips.
You can join foraging walks with Hannah from Kindful and Wild. Get hands-on with sketching with Martin Clarkson, storytelling with the Wild Man of the Woods, and treasure hunts with everyone’s favourite, Hairy Tom’s Forest School!
Try workshops from blacksmithing to willow weaving, watch Peartree Garden Services’ chainsaw carving, or test your aim with archery with the Sherwood Outlaws!
New this year, we also have a special Wellbeing in the Woods area, so visitors can come and reconnect with nature, through forest bathing sessions, have a go at yoga, learn about the healing power of the forest, and take part in a foraging walk.
Food and drink will be available over the weekend, with Tucks Brewery on site offering refreshing local and exceptional beers.
We work hard to keep the festival free and accessible for everyone, and your support helps make that possible.
Thanks to our sponsors at Bowring Transport and B&B Tractors for supporting this event.
