About

Trent Bridge

£5 Adults | £2.50 Concessions | Free to Notts CCC members

Why not take the opportunity of seeing behind the scenes at one of Cricket’s finest venues by taking a guided tour around the world’s 3rd oldest Test Match ground - Trent Bridge Cricket Ground near Nottingham.

Tours are held weekly, usually on a Tuesday and last for 2 hours. Where match days are on a Tuesday Trent Bridge aim to provide tours on alternative days – please see the website for details. Unfortunately they cannot provide tours in the days leading up to or immediately after International games.

Tours start inside the ground from Bridgford Road outside the Ticket Office. You will begin by seeing the 1880s Pavilion, with its facilities for Members and players. You will also visit the Trent Bridge library that houses 16000 cricket books - the largest number of cricket books in a single location in the world - and may also get the opportunity to meet Peter Wynne-Thomas, Trent Bridge’s famous historian and cricket author.

You'll then move to the other end of the ground to explore the Radcliffe Road stand with its modern media facilities. Views from the upper floors over the ground and the surrounding areas are stunning.

The tour finishes in the Trent Bridge Shop for souvenirs and reminders of your afternoon

Throughout the tour you will re-live some of the historic events that have taken place at the ground and get to know some of the characters that have played on the hallowed turf during its 150 year + history. You don’t need to be a cricket enthusiast or from Nottingham to enjoy the tour – there is plenty to interest everybody. All ages are welcome.

How to book

  • Book online via the Trent Bridge website
  • Book by phone via the Trent Bridge ticket office on 0115 982 3000
  • Book in person at the ticket office up to 1.45pm on the day of the tour

Further information

After obtaining your ticket please meet inside the ground from Bridgford Road outside the Ticket Office. Tours commence at 2pm.

Unfortunately car parking cannot be provided within the ground on tour days. There is plenty of street parking near the ground or pay and display car parks near West Bridgford town centre. Public transport stops right outside the ground.

The full tour requires some walking and if you wish to visit the upper floors of the old Pavilion then also the ability to climb flights of stairs. Wheelchair access is possible to the Radcliffe Road Stand and the ground floor (only) of the Pavilion. There are no lifts in this historic building.

The weekly tours will accommodate up to 15 visitors. If you have a larger group or a group with special interests then tours can be provided, if pre-booked, on other days and at other times. If you would like to discuss a tour for a group then please talk with the Shop Manager on 0115 982 3000 during office hours.
