The Workhouse
This event is free but normal admission charges apply
Meet costumed workhouse characters as they perform traditional tasks and tell you all about their lives at The Workhouse every Thursday and Saturday from 14 July - 27 August. The workhouse is brought to life with a variety of workhouse characters performing their historical roles. Get involved with some of their tasks, speak with them and learn about their lives or even get a lesson from the school mistress!
Normal admission charges apply. Free entry for National Trust members. Roles advertised not guaranteed on the day. But no matter the day you come, you are sure to enjoy the experience.
PLEASE NOTE: In July, The Workhouse is open Wednesday to Sunday. In August, The Workhouse is open 7 days a week.
