Revolution Hockley re-opened earlier this year with a brand new look which perfectly complements its place in the bohemian Lace Market. Now it has a new menu to match so last week, Experience Nottinghamshire's Anna Scott, Kate Dawson and Catherine Allen, who are all self-confessed food lovers, went to try it out. Anna: MacPhilly Cheese Steak What a mouth-watering taste sensation this was! Smoked cheddar macaroni cheese smothered in delicious pulled salt beef with French mustard in a stone-baked ciabatta bun. The steak was perfectly complemented by crispy fries and Revolution's home-made ketchup. This dish combined some of my favourite food: cheese, pasta and slow-cooked meat so it was always going to be my top choice from the new menu. It was pure indulgence on my part, especially at a lunchtime but it was Friday after all. The presentation was great; the steak was served on a rustic wooden board with the bun partly open and delicious hot goodness spilling out over the sides. This is a dish that commands respect and certainly isn't for wimps - and I’m proud to say I ate every last mouthful. Kate: Cherry Cola Chicken Wrap  It’s lunchtime, and I'm out with my colleagues, so despite the allure of an afternoon sampling the fine section of flavoured vodkas on offer, we’ve got some serious business to do – reviewing the new lunch menu. Opting for the tantalising-sounding Cherry Cola Chicken Wrap, which is fried in buttermilk, and I am delighted to discover comes served up with a small bag of cola bottles. I also added some of Revolution’s own tomato sauce, adding a little extra zing to the dish. The wrap had just the right balance of juicy and crispy chicken and I also ordered a healthy beetroot salad for added crunch. We topped off our meal with the ultimate guilty pleasure - a Banoffee Fluffwich, filled with caramel marshmallow, banana and strawberry dip. I rolled back to the office, vowing to return soon to sample more mouth-watering delights from the half-price Mega Mondays menu. Who’d have thought Revolution could be so much fun without the vodka? Catherine: Pulled Salt Beer Burrito Anyone who knows me will know that I'm a little bit addicted to burritos. Whether it's chicken, pulled pork or shredded beef, I can never resist a neatly-wrapped burrito which oozes with grilled veg, beans and cheese as soon as you bite into it. So when I found that Revolution had launched a new range of burritos, it wasn't a question of which dish to choose, it was which burrito. I eventually plumped for the mouth-watering pulled salt beef with Guacamole, spicy red rice and melted cheese and accompanied by tortilla chips. The burrito was lightly-toasted, adding more texture, and I also ordered some crispy sweet potato fries. Despite the fact that I'd had more than enough to eat, I couldn't help dipping into the Banoffee Fluffwich we shared afterwards. Light and fluffy, this dessert melted in the mouth and rounded off our lunch perfectly. To celebrate the launch of the new menu, Revolution Hockley is offering 20% off your meal when you book a table until 28th April. Visit the  website to book.
