The cream of Notts food and drink scene were acknowledged at a black-tie ceremony last night, held at the East Midlands Conference Centre, hosted by Master Chef’s very own Greg Wallace. More than 400 guests from restaurants, bars, cafes and pubs, plus sponsors, gathered for the event in anticipation of a fantastic night which certainly did not disappoint! The Nottingham Post hosted the awards for the first time, in partnership with Fraser Brown Solicitors. Finalists within the Best New Venue category were Annie’s Burger Shack, The Ruddington Arms and George’s Fish & Chip Kitchen, with George’s Fish & Chip Kitchen being named as the winner! Managing Director, Andrew Constantinou, said “The award pays testament to all the hard work that everyone has put into to making our restaurant what it has become in the short time we have been open. It is something that everyone who has been involved should be extremely proud of” George’s Fish & Chip Kitchen is located on Queen Street in the stunning grade two listed building that was formerly home to the post office!
