1. Nottinghamshire Day Celebration

Nottinghamshire is a county full of history and traditions, celebrate them all at the annual Nottinghamshire Day festivities happening this weekend. The Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre will host a day filled with engaging activities and interactive events that resonate with our rich past; enjoy storytelling, guided walks, medieval musicians, quizzes, archery, and axe throwing!

The day commemorates the start of the English Czivil War in 1642, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in local culture. From storytelling sessions and guided walks to medieval musicians and quizes, the event promises an array of experiences. Notably, the Sherwood Outlaws will be returning to take on the Sheriff of Nottingham's troops with their captivating Robin Hood arena show!

A novel addition this year is the family-focused zone, presenting a chance for festival-goers of all ages to join in the excitement with activities such as The Big Draw by Inspire and Time to Connect photography. Whether you're seeking history, adventure, or a day out with the family, Nottinghamshire Day offers it all. Entrance to the festival is free! Iif you're traveling by car, please note that parking will be available at £10 per vehicle.

2. Arboretum Beer Festival

Raise a glass to summer at the Arboretum Beer Festival, returning for its third year at the heart of our city in the Nottingham Arboretum. This froth-filled all day event will treat attendees to a tantalizing selection of real ales and craft beers from local breweries and beyond. Set against the backdrop of the park's historic Victorian bandstand, the festival boasts a blend of exceptional brews, top music and great entertainment.

Curated by the Bustler Market, the festival's street food vendors will ensure that you aren't stuck for choice, catering to all tastes and preferences. 3. Southwell Music Festival

4. Stone Valley Festival
