Milestone Caravan Park

About

Welcome to Milestone Caravan Park

Milestone is a very pretty award winning site on the outskirts of the small village of Cromwell, near Newark.

Conveniently situated off the A1 the park is easily accessible from both North & South and offers an excellent base for visiting Newark and the exciting and popular cities of Nottingham & Lincoln.

This is a site to suit all with good walking or cycling routes in the area or you might want to travel a little further afield to visit Sherwood Pines for all year round family cycling and mountain biking. There is also the popular Go Ape Tree top Adventure to try!

A short drive away you will be in the heart of Robin Hood Country where you can visit Sherwood Forest Country Park and wander through forest pathways to see the Major Oak.

If castle’s & stately homes are your thing you will be spoilt for choice as Newark Castle, Belvoir Castle, Wollaton Hall, Rufford Abbey & of course Lincoln Cathedral, to name but a few, are all within easy reach.

The charming town of Southwell is less than 10 miles away where you can visit the Workhouse or Southwell Minister or even have a day at Southwell Races!

Both Newark & Nottingham have a wide range of art galleries, theatres  & regular festivals for you to enjoy too.

There is of course a host of lovely bars & restaurants to be had in Newark, Nottingham & Lincoln along with an abundance of excellent shopping opportunities.

Milestone has been sympathetically developed with wildlife & conservation in mind and have been awarded the David Bellamy Conservation award several years running for our commitment to wildlife & the environment. Our resident ducks are a delight and can always be seen around the site and lake.

We offer good sized level hardstanding or grass pitches with some available overlooking our own private fishing lake and all pitches can now be allocated in an area of your choice. The lake is well stocked & fishing tickets can be purchased for just £5 a day from reception.

Onsite there are 2 cosy heated toilet & shower blocks, one has recently been refurbished & a laundry, pot washing & veg prep facilities are also offered.

Milestone is a very dog friendly site and along with a dog walk is proud to offer a new dog shower so that your dog’s muddy paws can have a good wash off after that long walk!

Book early to avoid disappointment, a warm welcome awaits you!
