Albino Mosquito presents a screening of brain-controlled movie The MOMENT with live score to celebrate the Album Launch, plus a special preview of new film Before We Disappear.
The MOMENT is a brain controlled dystopian sci-fi film following three interlinking stories. Directed by artist/researcher Dr Richard Ramchurn, it uses brain data to effect the edit, sound mix and narrative. There are over 18 billion possible narrative combinations of the film. Each screening is unique.
The film is edited in real time via a brain computer interface of an audience member, while the musicians improvise.
This event launches a double-sided album to showcase the virtuosity of the musicians as they respond to a new version of the film. The MOMENT Soundtrack pre-orders will be available on the night.
Special Preview
Before We Disappear is a narrative response to climate change and a technological response to digital surveillance, engaging with the very real and pressing effects of climate collapse. A short interactive film experience, which adapts its narrative based on the viewers' momentary engagement and emotion.
Q&A
Join Director Richard Ramchurn and musicians Hallvarður Ásgeirsson & Scrubber Fox at the end of the event.
