An Alice Armstrong show promises a soulful, genre-busting performance packed with world-class musicianship and wry British repartee. Though a darling of the UK Blues community, her personal and provocative content is an exhilarating fusion of soul, blues, funk, rock and jazz.
Alice Armstrong is a multi-award nominated singer-songwriter and entertainer from Surrey, UK, known for her impressive vocal range, dynamic songwriting and unmatched stage presence. Her voice and songs vary widely in emotional tone and are a common addition to Joe Bonamassa's personal Spotify playlists.
An Alice Armstrong show promises a soulful, genre-busting performance packed with world-class musicianship and wry British repartee. Though a darling of the UK Blues community, her personal and provocative content is an exhilarating fusion of soul, blues, funk, rock and jazz, and is served with an enigmatic performance reminiscent of the likes of B.B. King, Koko Taylor, Beth Hart, Freddie King, Janis Joplin and Tina Turner (with a touch of Maria Callas), leaving the awed audience laughing, crying and tapping their feet in equal measure.
After gaining a following fronting and writing for the Crossfire Blues Band with celebrated young guitarist, Marcus Praestgaard-Stevens, Alice spent the last few years on the stage of many of the UK's biggest rhythm and blues festivals, completed a European tour and was a finalist in the 2020, 2021 and 2022 UK Blues Awards. She regularly guests with the Stevie Watts Organ Trio, contributing and performing on their latest album "Mission to the Moon". She provided backing vocals on the Catfish album "Burning Bridges" and has also collaborated with The Cinelli Brothers on their new album.
Alice is now launching her musical path with her amazingly talented 4-piece band.
