Celebrating Black History Month, 2Funky Arts presents And Still I Rise, an evening of powerful new work across dance, poetry, spoken word, rap and music. Ten Midlands-based artists from Black, African and Caribbean backgrounds share work that is brave, honest and deeply evocative.
Each artist brings a distinctive voice, often turning the personal into the political. The line-up includes Ryan Dre Sinclair, Rikkai Scott, NEONE, Maia Sudha and Jonathan Akinsete. Through frank storytelling, movement and rhythm, the showcase explores prejudice, power and everyday truths.
