Run 5.30

About

Friday 19 July 2024 | 5.30am start
Starting and finishing at Collin Street (adjacent to Broad Marsh Bus Station)

Run 5.30, the early morning Italian 5K event that promotes an active lifestyle, is returning to Nottingham on Friday 19 July after its success in 2015 and 2016.

Starting at Collin Street, 500 people will run, jog or walk through the Lace Market and along Castle Boulevard, before returning along the Canal Tow Path to a finish rewarded with a medal and breakfast. Founder Sergio Bezzanti will be waving everyone off, and welcoming everyone back.

The aim of Run 5.30, which started in Italy ten years ago, is to promote a positive lifestyle centred on daily physical activity and healthy eating, proving that it’s easy to fit exercise into busy lives simply by waking up a little earlier.

Participants will enjoy a closed road start to the route before taking to the pavement once everyone has spread out a little. The aim of all 5.30 events is to have as little impact on the city as possible.

Run 5.30 in Nottingham will be raising awareness and funds for Maggies Centre in Nottingham, a warm and welcoming space for people with cancer.

Every entry receives a t-shirt, unique 5.30 medal, an online post-event magazine, free photographs and a fresh, nutritious breakfast with drinking water at the end.
