A critically-acclaimed fantasy adventure from he legendary Studio Ghibli and the final animated film by Academy Award®-winning director Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away).

After losing his mother during the war, young Mahito moves to his family's estate in the countryside. There, a series of mysterious events lead him to a secluded and ancient tower, home to a mischievous grey heron. When Mahito's new stepmother disappears, he follows the heron into the tower, and enters a fantastic world shared by the living and the dead. As he embarks on an epic journey with the heron as his guide, Mahito must uncover the secrets of this world, and the truth about himself.

Featuring the voices of Christian Bale, Dave Bautista, Gemma Chan, Willem Dafoe, Karen Fukuhara, Mark Hamill, Robert Pattinson and Florence Pugh.

Entry is from 7.30pm. Each screening will begin after sunset, as soon as it is dark enough to screen the film.

Screenings will take place behind the DH Lawrence Pavilion at Lakeside.

Seating will not be provided, so please bring camping chairs or picnic blankets to sit on.
Tickets are non-refundable, apart from in the unlikely event of event cancellation.
Please arrive prepared for all likely weather conditions - screenings will be going ahead come rain or shine!
