Hanwell Wine Estate
Tickets - £85 Per Person
Enjoy a relaxing session, creating and designing your own personalise ceramic tiles with expert Ceramics artist Sarah. The workshop will take place in the 100sqm converted craft barn with stunning views of the open Nottinghamshire countryside of Hanwell Wine Estate. The setting provides the perfect space to relax and engage in your passion while learning new useful skills.
Sarah will show you how to roll out a slab of clay, cut out your tiles and decorate them with different textures and paint them with underglazes. Your tiles will then be glazed with a transparent glaze and fired ready for you to collect a few weeks later.
Bring with you any design ideas you may have – alternatively get ideas on the day from the 'Bits and Bobs Box' that Sarah will bring along to inspire your creativity. The tiles can be used as teapot stands, coasters, wall hangings, house number, children's bedroom door name tile…… and lots more.
