Join Chris Bowden ("His sound is scorching, funky and determined" - The Guardian) and his quartet for an evening of music performed in appreciation of the exuberant and highly inspirational saxophonist Julian "Cannonball" Adderley
Chris Bowden released the album Time Capsule on Soul Jazz Records in the 1990s and Slightly Askew on Ninja Tune in the early 2000s. He has worked with Jules Buckley of the Metropole Orkest, Simon Philips, Flora Purim and Airto Moreira, was a member of The Herbaliser band and collaborated extensively with 4 Hero.
In the last few years, he has released two albums, Unlikely Being and The Hypnos Files. He has made numerous recordings including records with Jelissa Anderson, Jessica Lauren, The Heritage Orchestra, Moses Molelekwa, K Creative and Palm Skin Productions.
Join the band for an evening of music performed in appreciation of the exuberant and highly inspirational saxophonist Julian "Cannonball" Adderley. Playing the music from his album Somethin' Else, released in 1958 on Blue Note.
