Friday 3rd May 2024 | 7.15pm - 11.30pm
Venue: The Renaissace at Kelham Hall
Tickets: From £19.51
Due to popular demand and after two sell-out discos, the pop-up disco party known as Discos for Grown Ups is set to make a return to Kelham Hall.
Recently restored and reopened under new management, Kelham Hall, now named Renaissance, will host the event. Attendees will dance beneath the iconic dome in the splendid Great Hall. The evening promises a brand-new playlist featuring classics from the 70s, 80s, and 90s for a night of boogie. The Great Hall will be illuminated by an impressive light and laser show, complemented by the performance of DFGUPS glitter ball stage dancers.
For a night of fun and fabulous dancing with peers, attendees are encouraged to get glittered up, ensuring a memorable boogie night. Revelers can dance to their favorite disco, soul, and feel-good pop hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, featuring artists such as Donna Summer, Depeche Mode, Earth Wind and Fire, Chic, Sister Sledge, Odyssey, Chaka Khan, ABBA, Madonna, Robin S, Erasure, Bee Gees, Candi Staton, Faithless, and many more.
The venue boasts a fully licensed bar and ample parking. The dress code for the event is "DISCO GLAMOUR," with complimentary glow sticks and retro sweets provided. The bar operates on a card-only basis.
For those seeking an elevated experience, the VIP DISCO TICKET PACKAGE offers exclusive benefits, including VIP priority access, a Disco Glow Pack featuring premium glow stick accessories, and a VIP wristband.
Doors open at 7pm for VIP ticket holders, with general admission starting at 7:15 pm. The dancing extravaganza is scheduled from 8pm to 11:30pm. Attendees are advised to arrive by 8pm to ensure they don't miss any disco fun. The last entry is at 8:30 pm, and it is emphasized that this is a standing event, not seated. Seating is limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
DFGUPS aims to provide a night of boogieing for adults who love to dance, emphasizing the enjoyment of dressing up and dancing to beloved music. The event organizers emphasize that grown-ups can have just as much fun. It's a standing dance event, and no refunds are available within 30 days of the event. The party continues, as they haven't stopped dancing yet.
