Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at numerous venues across the country, is excited to announce the launch of a brand new comedy night at The Merchant of Venice at Patchings Arts Centre, Calverton on Saturday November 14th.

Funhouse clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere, which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to the top include Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as "among the best anywhere in the world."

Topping the bill is the compelling and frank comedian and writer, Daliso Chaponda who came 3rd in 'Britain's Got Talent' and then landed himself his own stand-up comedy show on BBC Radio 4. Hailing from Malawi, where his father is a government minister, he started his comedy career in Canada with the much-admired one man show 'Feed This Black Man'. With his ability to talk about anything from politics and religion to romance, he amuses his audiences with his distinctive accent and unique outlook on the world.

Opening the night will be Canadian stand-up, writer and actor David Tsonos. With his friendly and confident persona, he intrigues the audience with his combination of banter and impulsive comments.

Completing the line-up is the incredibly funny cutlery sage Ian Crawford, with his unique safety advice.

Compere for the night will be the warm and welcoming Spiky Mike.
