London-based trumpeter/composer Grifton Forbes-Amos pays homage to the styles of his Latin influences culinating in a fusion that creates a form of Jazz that's like candy to your ears, something sweet, where you can enjoy listening to the compositions, brought to their pinnacle through his solos.

London-based trumpeter/composer Grifton Forbes-Amos merges differing aspects of Jazz whilst including the soulful playing within other genres like Gospel and Soul Jazz . He pays homage to the styles of his Latin influences which culminates in a fusion that creates a form of Jazz that's like candy to your ears, something sweet, where you can enjoy listening to the compositions, brought to their pinnacle through his solos. His music intends to take you on a euphoric journey leaving you smile from ear to ear and always wanting more.
Since 2017 he has been making himself more known in the Jazz scene, constantly trying to develop his sound through the genres he regularly performs in like: Jazz, Latin music, Fusion, Afrobeat and many more. He is heavily influenced through bands/artists like Roy Hargrove, Marquis Hill, Christian Scott, Freddie Hubbard, Lee Morgan etc. who all aimed to find their unique sound within the music they performed/composed.
After finishing his studies in 2021 Grifton continued on to be part of bands such as: TC & The Groove Family, Abeng and many more. As well has performing with bands/projects like Nubiyan Twist, Outlook Orchestra and Blue Lab Beats.
