Join the museum for Everyday Histories, a reflective day of learning that brings together material from our collections and the lived experience of a Holocaust survivor.
How can everyday objects help us understand the history of the Holocaust?
11am-12pm A curatorial talk which explores ordinary, deeply personal items - documents, photographs and belongings- that help to tell stories of identity, family life, persecution, resistance and survival. You will hear how curators research and care for these objects, and how they can open up conversations about what happened, how it was experienced, and why remembrance matters today.
1pm-2pm Sharing survivor testimony from our collection, giving visitors the chance to hear a pre-recorded first-hand account and reflect together.
