A satire of big business and all it holds sacred.
The show tracks the rise of J. Pierrepont-Finch in 1960's corporate America.
Following the guidance of a little handbook called 'How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying', Ponty climbs the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive.
On route, he has to tackle such familiar, but potent, dangers as; the aggressively compliant 'company man'; the office party; backstabbing co-workers; caffeine addiction and, as happens in most good musical theatre, the added complication of true love.
By Frank Loesser & Abe Burrows.
