INSIDE STRAIGHT

A celebration of the music of Cannonball Adderley, led by award-winning alto saxophonist Tony Kofi. Exploring exciting repertoire from the late 1960s / early 70s which helped to push the boundaries of jazz music at the time, and paved the way for the oncoming jazz funk revolution.

INSIDE STRAIGHT is a celebration of the music of Cannonball Adderley, featuring compositions by Joe Zawinul, Nat Adderley, and of course Cannonball himself. Led by award-winning alto saxophonist Tony Kofi, the band explores exciting repertoire from the late 1960s / early 1970s which helped to push the boundaries of jazz music at the time and pave the way for the oncoming jazz funk revolution.

Since forming in 2021, the band has performed across the UK with live appearances at the London Jazz Festival, Swanage Jazz Festival, Derby Jazz, Nottingham Jazz Steps, Lincoln Jazzpac, Leicester Jazz and several sold-out shows at Peggy's Skylight (Nottingham).
