Light Night Friday 23 February 2018 from 4.00 - 8.30pm

The William Booth Birthplace Museum and Salvation Army Community Centre will be celebrating Nottingham's Light Night with a range of fun, free events for the whole family from 4.00-8.30pm. There will be candlelight museum tours, live music, refreshments, a drop-in art workshop and illuminated sculpture. Everyone is welcome!

Light Night at the Museum

Help us celebrate Nottingham's 11th annual 'Light Night' at the Museum and Community Centre. Everyone welcome. Everything free. Drop in anytime from 4.00-8.30pm and join us for:

•    Live music all evening (4.00-8.30pm)
•    Refreshments
•    Drop-in, family-friendly lantern making workshop with local up-cycling artist Tracey Lloyd (all materials provided). Suitable for ages 5+.
•    Candlelight museum tours at 5.15pm, 6.15pm and 7.15pm. Booking required and spaces very limited - see below for booking information.
•    Museum open for drop-in visits from 4.00-5.00pm
•    Games and activities
•    Festive lights and lasers


Candlelight Museum Tours
Tours at 5.15pm, 6.15pm & 7.15pm (booking required)

See the museum as you’ve never seen it before – in candlelight!  Explore the birthplace of William Booth and learn how he brought the light of hope into many lives.  Tours last approximately 45 minutes and are suitable for ages 7+. Free tours but booking is required. Spaces are extremely limited – book early to avoid disappointment.

Find us: The William Booth Birthplace Museum and The Salvation Army Community Centre are located near Green’s Windmill, at 14 Notintone Place, Sneinton, Nottingham NG2 4QG – at the junction of Sneinton Road and Notintone Street (take the walkway to the right of the row of shops on Sneinton Road to access the site). The site is completely accessible and toilet facilities are available. Car parking is available at Green's Windmill car park off Windmill Lane and bus number 43 runs past the museum on Sneinton Road.
