Rising star singer Lucy-Anne Daniels will be joined by pianist Ben Shankland to perform a variety of songs and arrangements from across the jazz tradition with influence from folk and gospel music, and bound together by a shared passion for improvisation and storytelling.
Lucy-Anne Daniels

A natural performer, creative improviser and talented musician, Leeds native Lucy-Anne Daniels draws inspiration from singers such as Betty Carter, gospel duo Mary Mary and, most pertinently, Amy Winehouse.
Ben Shankland

Edinburgh-born pianist and composer Ben Shankland is, despite his young age, already gaining recognition on the UK jazz scene as a fantastic pianist and composer. Shankland has previously brought his Trio to Peggy's, an exciting new group with a fresh and distinctive sound.
'Easeful harmonising and sureness of touch leaves one eager to hear more from Shankland in the future' – Scottish Jazz Space
