Macrame Plant Hanger Workshop

Come and make a personalise and useful plant hanger at this macrame workshop. Your expert tutor Sally will take you through step by step teaching you the different knot techniques offering tips and tricks of the craft.
In the workshop, you will learn the main knots and techniques used when making macrame plant hangers including tips on which cord to use and how to measure for your projects. You will start with learning a few different ways to attach the plant hanger to its hanging ring, then practice the main knots to be used. Once comfortable with the knots, you will make your hanger. With a few patterns on show for inspiration, you will be encouraged to make your own design with all the help and guidance you need along the way.
There will be a selection of different types of cord and different colours to choose from.
What you will learn:
Start with learning about the different types of cord typically used for macrame projects and which cords work best for which piece.
Learn how to measure for your project and give hints and tips to help during the creating process.
Learn a few different ways to attach the plant hanger to its hanging ring.
A variety of knots including – the larks head, square, spiral, crown and wrap knot. These can be used in further projects too.
Once the hanger is finished you will learn a few different techniques that are commonly used to complete projects.
