Mike Leigh is a filmmaker whose reputation is based on two things: his ability to tap into the times in which we live and the improvisational nature of his process.
Over ten weeks, we'll look at the evolution of Mike Leigh's work, from his early plays for television to his vivid, bleak and often hilarious character studies for cinema. With diversions of course into biographical and political period drama. It's an unparalleled filmography from a storyteller of rare vision.
Tutor: Kenton Hall
