One of the most charismatic performers in the world of rock n roll and rhythm & blues, Mike Sanchez will be making his debut appearance at Peggy´s Skylight this Summer with his Quartet - 'He is our Little Richard, with a bit of Jerry Lee Lewis thrown in' - Jeff Beck

Mike Sanchez – Star of Rock ´n´ Roll and Rhythm & Blues will be making his debut appearance at Peggy's Skylight this Summer for an evening of hot rocking entertainment featuring his quartet Mike Sanchez & The Portions
Born in London to Spanish immigrants, at the age of 11 the family moved to Worcestershire where his high school years introduced him to teenage subcultures and a passion for roots rockabilly and blues music.
Through rockabilly and blues he formed the Big Town Playboys and attracted a following from many famous rock and blues legends starting with Robert Plant, Gary Brooker, Eric Clapton, Mick Fleetwood, Andy Fairweather Low, Jeff Beck, Albert Lee and ex Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman whose band the Rhythm Kings Mike joined and toured with for 4 years.
Mike, who now lives in Spain has scheduled a 28 date UK Summer tour for 2026, and will be promoting his latest CD, LP and single, while performing his live & wild boogie woogie and rockin rhythms with the finest musicians, The Portions, featuring guitarist Tom Bull, bassist Nick Whitfield and drummer Mark Morgan.
