Notts Pride returns to celebrate Nottinghamshire’s vibrant LGBTQ+ community and ensure queer voices are heard.

The day will begin with a visibility march through the city centre of more than 7,000 LGBTQ+ people and allies, starting at Listergate at 12pm (meet from 11am) and finishing at Sneinton Market.

The march makes its way along the following route:

Muster Point at Lister Gate > Wheeler Gate > South Parade > Cheapside > Victoria Street > Carlton Street > Broad Street > High Cross Street > Heathcoat Street > Goose Gate > Hockley > Gedling Street > Sneinton Market Square

The Notts Pride stewards and security team will help guide and organise those taking part in the march.

The Main Stage at Sneinton Market Square will host artists and performers from the LGBTQ+ community, including Rileasa Slaves, GIRLBAND!, Jason Kwan, Rob Green, Tom Aspaul, and Su, I Think. There will also be educational stalls weaving through Sneinton Market Avenues.

ROAD CLOSURES
The march follows along the following roads, which will be closed for the duration:

• Albert St (road closure part way down Hounds Gate, bottom of low pavement and bottom of Castle Gate)
• Wheeler Gate
• South Parade (road closure bottom of Friar Lane)
• Poultry (road closure junction of High St)
• Victoria St (road closure Fletcher Gate just after junction of Warser Gate)
• Carlton St (road closure just after junction of Old Lenton Road George St)
• Broad St (road closure just after junction of Old Lenton Street, no access from Lower Parliament St)
• High Cross St (road closures East and Western St at junctions of High Cross St)
• Heathcoat St (road closure at junction of Heathcoat/Cranbrook St)
• Goose Gate (road closure halfway up Brightmoor St)
• Hockley (road closures Belward St and Cranbrook St at the crossing point)
• Gedling St (road closures Lower Parliament St at the crossing point and further north at the junction of Lennox St and Boston St)
• Sneinton Market Square (road closures Nelson St and Gedling St on the Friday before)

Please note that Nelson St and Gedling St will remain closed for the duration of the event. Other closures will be lifted as soon as the march has passed.

IMPACT ON TRANSPORT SERVICES
NET Tram

• To ensure the event is as safe as possible for all attendees, the tram service from Nottingham Station to the Royal Centre will be suspended from approximately 11.20am until 2.30pm.
• The Lace Market and Old Market Square tram stops will be closed during this period.
• All tram services departing from Hucknall and Phoenix Park will terminate at Royal Centre.
• All tram services departing from Clifton South and Toton Lane will terminate at Nottingham Station.

Nottingham City Transport
The Pride Bus will be parked at the top of Hockley, near Carlton Street from approx. 11.30am until the march passes, where the team will have a limited exclusive range of giveaways.

Some NCT buses will divert while the Pride march makes its way through the city. The diversions have been split into two phases:

Phase 1 – From 11.30am until approx. 12.15pm

Friar Lane and Beastmarket Hill will be inaccessible to buses, affecting the following:

Navy 1, 3 & 48

Phase 2 – From 12.15pm until approx. 3.30pm

George Street, Bellar Gate and Lower Parliament Street (near the Arena) will be inaccessible to buses, affecting the following:

Green 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11/A/C
Lilac 24, 25, 26 & 27
Orange 34C
Red 43, 44 & 45
Navy 49, 49B & 49X 
Turquoise 77, 78, 79 & 79A
