A fabulous workshop learning to draw your own Quentin Blake style pen and watercolour illustrations of your friends, family and pets!
Your talented tutor and artist, Sarah will teach you her secret methods to getting your drawing hand working just like Quentin's to capture the immediate likeness and character of your subject in just a few quick strokes. You will then learn the art of watercolour wash, working in and outside of the line to capture the liveliness of the figure or face. Expect a lot of fun and laughs!
All materials, tools and refreshments are included in the workshop price. You will need to bring 8 to 10 subjects to draw from photos, friends, family and pets, some full body images as well as just the head and shoulders.
Outline of your time on the day:
Meet tutor Sarah and enjoy refreshments on arrival
Sarah will inspire you with examples of artwork and demonstrate the technique
Working at a quick pace you will practice the technique
Enjoy mid session refreshments and snack
Continue your illustration
By the end of the workshop you will have drawn over 15 pictures and more.
