Redtenbacher's Funkestra mark 30 years with the FUNKOPIA Tour and new album release. Expect powerhouse jazz-funk grooves inspired by James Brown, Tower of Power and Snarky Puppy.
"A pure slice of unalloyed, joyful Funk." – Steve Rubie (606 Club, London)
"Stefan, you know what the Funk is about." – Fred Wesley (James Brown, Funkadelic, JB Horns)
Celebrating 30 years, Redtenbacher's Funkestra return to the stage with their trademark brand of high-energy instrumental jazz-funk and their brand new album FUNKOPIA. Led by bassist, composer and producer Stefan Redtenbacher, the band has evolved into one of the UK's leading funk collectives. For the past five years, they have also worked as the Masterlink Sessions Collective, recording hundreds of songs with artists including Rumer, Connor Selby and Jo Harman
Alongside this, Stefan has run the long-standing Joni Reimagined Project, producing two albums, international shows and sold-out Ronnie Scott's performances, culminating in a successful UK tour earlier in 2025.
YouTube Silver Creator Award with 460+ performance videos, nearly 17M Spotify streams, and 20+ albums released independently on RSB Records.
"Redtenbacher's Funkestra is a go-to funk monstrosity that consistently delivers a steady groove guaranteed to make you move!" – Michael B. (KGOU FM, Oklahoma)
