"Absolutely brilliant band. Played lots of deep cuts from Steely Dan as well as more well known songs. In a word – Brilliant!"
Reelin' in the Dan brings the timeless music of Steely Dan to life, faithfully recreating the sound and spirit of one of the most influential bands of the 1970s. With a deep appreciation for Walter Becker and Donald Fagen's masterful songwriting, this six-piece band delivers an authentic live experience, performing not just the biggest hits but also carefully selected deep cuts from Steely Dan's golden era (1972–1980).
Since forming in 2023, Reelin' in the Dan has quickly made a name for themselves, selling out venues across the UK. This is their 3rd visit to Peggys, with all 4 previous shows being sell-outs! From the jazz-infused grooves to the intricate harmonies and unmistakable guitar solos, every element of Steely Dan's music is brought to the stage with precision, passion, and energy.
Audiences can expect a dynamic setlist featuring classics like Reelin' in the Years, Do It Again, Peg, and Rikki Don't Lose That Number, alongside fan-favorite album tracks that showcase the band's versatility and deep knowledge of the Steely Dan catalog. Their performances span the full range of the band's classic albums, including Can't Buy a Thrill, Countdown to Ecstasy, Pretzel Logic, Katy Lied, The Royal Scam, Aja, and Gaucho.
Whether you're a lifelong Steely Dan fan or discovering their music for the first time, Reelin' in the Dan promises a night of outstanding musicianship, nostalgia, and the unmistakable sound of one of the greatest bands in rock history.
