"Excellent, imaginative and absorbing work" –  Jazz Journal

"If the opportunity arises to see and hear them live…take it!" –  Simply Jazz Talk

Since forming in 2022, Sharp Little Bones have carved out a distinctive space in the UK jazz scene. Already renowned as formidable soloists in their own right, "Sharp Little Bones' ensemble energy allows them to flow fluidly through some frequently complex rhythms. Confident, daring and utterly captivating"

Together, they bring deep jazz traditions and fuse them with contemporary textures, energy and edge. Their extraordinarily energetic and vibrant sound is an eclectic melting pot of jazz, funk, blues, bop and electronica.

Their blockbuster debut double album, Volumes I & II, is a testament to their innovative spirit. Described by Jazzwise as "engaging, hugely varied, well-presented, characterised by élan and enthusiasm," this 13-track LP garnered widespread critical acclaim and support from major platforms like BBC Radio 3 and Jazz FM. It was supported by a sold-out UK tour culminating in a headline show at the London Jazz Festival and a prestigious slot at Nottingham's Rock City, supporting the Kanneh-Masons.

With a confident and daring approach to group interplay baked in after a succession of live dates, Sharp Little Bones entered the studio on 14th and 15th July 2025 to record eleven brand-new compositions. The resulting double album, "Step Up! Get Down!", will be released on vinyl, CD and online in October 2026.
