Due to phenomenal demand, mountaineer Simon Yates of Touching the Void returns to Nottingham Arts Theatre with a brand-new talk. With more than 80 expeditions behind him, he shares extraordinary stories from a decade of exploration, from the Himalayas and Central Asia to the peaks of South America.
At its heart is his 2023 attempt on the unclimbed north face of Patkhor in Tajikistan with fellow climbing legend Mick Fowler. What followed was an epic ordeal: a devastating 100-metre fall, days stranded on a glacier and a gruelling three-day journey to safety. It is a gripping, first-hand evening of adventure, endurance and survival.
