Duncan Eagles and his quartet performed a fantastic set at Peggy's in February last year- they're delighted to welcome him back to celebrate 10 years of his trio, "Partikel"

"Supple trio finds new warmth and appeal" - The Guardian ☆☆☆☆

Over the past ten years Partikel have released four albums to international acclaim forging a reputation as "One of the most exciting trios in improvised music" Jazz Podium (Germany). This has lead to performances all over the globe at some of the biggest venues and festivals in the world. Some of the highlights include touring to China, Canada and the USA, headlining at Ronnie Scotts, opening for Tomasz Stanko at Cadogan Hall, JazzAhead festival in Bremen and a 3 day residency in Seville!

Their most recent album was nominated for a Parliamentary Jazz Award in the catagory of 'Album of the Year'

"A continuous musical narrative with many detours exceeding all expectation" - JazzTheTik ☆☆☆☆☆

"Inventive contrapuntally - rich arrangements, this excellent experiment represents a perfect marriage of two seemingly disparate entities, resulting in an album of richly mellifluous sonority" - All About Jazz ☆☆☆☆☆

"One of the most successful attempts I've heard at fully integrating a string quartet into a jazz ensemble....like a miniature Loose Tubes with strings - Jazz Journal ☆☆☆☆☆

Touring lineup :

Duncan Eagles - Tenor and Soprano Saxophones
