The Whirlybirds are multi award winning Stevie Watts (organ with bass), Grant Allardyce (drums & good vibes) and Olly Knight Smith (guitar & whoops!). They deliver a powerful blend of instrumental vintage funk and deep soul drenched grooves driven by the unmistakable sound of the Hammond organ. The UK based trio feature powerhouse vocals from Shanade. Together they make music which is infectious, heartfelt and seriously funky!
Multi award winning Stevie Watts is one of the UK's most sought after Hammond organists and can be seen touring with Wille & The Bandits, Connor Selby, True Strays and other great artists including visiting American artists such as Grammy award winner Mike Farris, Jimmy Carpenter, Lisa Mann and Jade MacRae. Stevie is also the studio Hammond guy and has played on ten albums so far for UK based band Archive who have enjoyed huge success throughout Europe.
Other artists include Elles Bailey, Connolly Hayes and in the past has worked with Secret Affair, Archive, Steve Winwood, Arthur Brown, Mary Coughlan, Ronnie Scott's Blues Explosion, Terry Hall, Mylene Farmer (France), Kirk Fletcher (USA), Jack Bruce, PP Arnold (USA), Jonathan Jeremiah, Lulu, Joe Louis Walker (USA), Kiki Dee, Mica Paris, Sam Brown, Gerry Beckley (USA), Lucky Jim, Eli Paperboy Reed (USA), Mike Ross, Sam Moore (Sam & Dave, USA), Sari Schorr (USA), Danny Bryant, Jade Like The Stone, Marcus Malone, Jo Harman, Amba Tremain, Alice Armstrong and Mike Mayfield. Stevie has also supported bands such as Duran Duran on arena tours.
