About

Peggy's Skylight | Nottingham
Wednesday 27th November 2024
Tickets: £10-£15

Doors at 7pm
Performance 8-10pm (with interval)

8-piece funk, soul, disco and ska collective playing music by Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, Etta James, Chic, Herbie Hancock, Prince Buster, James Brown, Buddy Rich and Dawn Penn - This is feel good music aimed at your feet

Sticky Morales are an 8-piece funk, soul, disco and ska collective who love groove music so much they have been playing it for 23 years at too many venues and events to mention.

Fondly described in one Nottingham review as "a mix of jazz musicians and funk nerds", Sticky Morales interpret soulful classics and forgotten gems in their own brass heavy style with the help of "The Funky Sticky Horns" and outstanding vocalist Rachel P.

Delight in hearing (and of course dancing) to a diverse set of grooves from the likes of Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, Etta James, Chic, Herbie Hancock, Prince Buster, James Brown, Buddy Rich and Dawn Penn (to name but a few). This is feel good music aimed at your feet.
