Manchester soul collective The 7:45s bring their floor-filling wall of sound to Peggy's – on tour, promoting their deluxe album 'Spin Off'. Featuring Sam Flynn's smooth falsetto, Martin Connor's bluesy baritone, and Peggy's regular Yemi Bolatiwa's bright tone in glorious three-part harmonies. "Up-tempo soul of the highest order"
"Up-tempo soul of the highest order" – Craig Charles (BBC Radio 6 Music)
"I love it! You're gunna love it!" – DJ Spoony (BBC Radio 2)
The 7:45s are an original soul collective from Manchester on a mission to fill dancefloors with their soulful wall of sound.
The brainchild of songwriter and bassist Sam Flynn, The 7:45s are inspired by the house bands of soul labels from Motown to Big Crown. The young collective feature some of the finest musicians on the Manchester scene, spotlighting guest vocalists such as Martin Connor and Yemi Bolatiwa backed by a tight rhythm section.
Named after 7-inch vinyl, The 7:45s write snappy singles influenced by soul, funk and disco. They blend the vintage sound of rare groove with the songcraft of perfect pop – then add autobiographical lyrics and rhythmic twists.
The 7:45s released their debut album 'Spinning' on Vinyl and CD through LRK Records in June 2025. 'Spinning' received rave reviews. Craig Charles named it "One of the top albums of the year" while Clash Magazine called it an "Outstanding debut album".
Deluxe album 'Spin Off', which features 10 new tracks, is available now on CD.
